Michael's passion for design is driven by the attitude that every tree is unique so creating a piece of furniture is actually producing an object that never existed before. When asked where his designs were conceived, the answer is predominantly "look around you, nature has the solution for everything". He feels that if you want a pleasing shape, its literally confronts you every day in the nature
With a vast and diverse background to draw on for design, his engineering study gives a solid knowledge base for sound construction capabilities blended with years of landscaping experince is a strong influence towards the organic style of his furniture He hopes to base himself in the Peel region and to continue to produce unique organic designs. Michael's philosophy is to create pieces with a tactile element that invites the viewer to experience the timber and it's beauty.
